Enrollment Counselor

The Art Institutes is actively recruiting for an Enrollment Counselor to support Prospective students during their enrollment process.  This role is currently a hybrid position and requires at this time working on campus 1 day per week, while maintaining a remote work from home office.  This position will be required to attend Open Houses, other campus events and meetings on campus as required.

The responsibility of an Enrollment Counselor is to help prospective students take their first steps toward pursuing their passion and building a future by achieving their academic goals.

The Enrollment Counselor is charged with reaching and resolving prospective student inquiries to gain an understanding of their educational and career goals.  With this information they will demonstrate as appropriate, how our program offerings may meet their goals.  Set appointments with prospective students to conduct on campus / virtual interviews to provide accurate and complete information regarding our Institution, educational programs, expected student outcomes, student support services and financial considerations so that the perspective student can make an informed decision regarding enrollment.  Assist the prospective student in beginning and completing an application.  Meets with students / parents to outline completion of the enrollment steps, establishing and gaining acknowledgement of student expectation and timelines and helping the student complete steps to start classes as soon as possible.

Key Job Elements:

  • Manage inquiries to achieve prompt contact and performance activity weekly goals; follow all federal/state regulatory rules and policies; make prompt and effective contact with inquiries and evaluate each prospective student based on his/her needs, desires, interests, qualifications, motivations, and commitments.
  • Schedule and conduct interviews, pursue qualified candidates for enrollment, and determine appropriateness of candidates for enrollment based upon career goal compatibility. Meet enrollment expectations on a quarterly / annual basis.  Accurately forecast projected new students when requested by the Dean of Admissions.
  • Identify Personally Developed Referrals (PDRs) during each in-person, phone and email contact by directly asking the individuals you are communicating with about other individuals who may be interested in the academic programs we offer.  Meet or exceed the goals as assigned for PDRs.
  • Responsible for meeting with parents / students to outline the student’s responsibility in completing each  enrollment step in a timely manner, setting expectations and gaining student commitment for completion.
  • Participate in appropriate recruitment and enrollment activities including: new student review, open houses, presentations, training sessions, community activities and events, orientation programs, career days, etc.
  • Other duties as assigned.

Job Requirements:


  • Bachelor's degree in Business or a related field is required.
  • 0-2 year's enrollment recruitment or non-durable goods sales experience.
  • Possess a sincere interest in helping others achieve life goals.

Special Requirements:

  • Must be able to establish an appropriate home office environment with a dedicated workspace that is free from distractions and background noise.  Subscription to reliable, high-speed, hard wired internet service is a MUST.
  • You will be provided with company technology that allows you to complete the responsibilities of the role.
  • Must attend the entire virtual training class and satisfactorily pass all training requirements.
